Bob Bloom has a special message for people who are suffering from anger, depression, anxiety and other
emotional challenges...
...things can be different.
Life can be good. You just need to learn a few simple skills.
Bob didn't come to his emotional understanding in an ordinary way. Tired and exasperated after years of living
in emotional hell, he turned to no one in particular one afternoon and exclaimed, "Why does life have to be so hard?"
"It doesn't," replied a still, small voice from within, "It's you who
makes life so hard. There is a better way." Over the course of the next decade this still, small voice tutored
Bob in this other way.
This other way is the way of
becoming emotionally conscious. An emotionally conscious person doesn't need to go to the extremes of pleasure and pain
to know that they are fully alive. Instead, they feel that 'aliveness' even in the mundane moments. It means that
they're at peace within themselves and with the world at large, not neccessarily liking everything, but they're okay with
their not liking it. It means that they've ceased living in a conceptual way and have awakened their feeling, sensing,
aware self ...and they live from this awareness ...giving themselves the ability to experience life with joy. It means
that they've released themselves from the burden of the past and are now living in the present moment ...awake, alive, attuned
and unafraid because they are emotionally equipped to meet whatever arises.
Having become emotionally conscious himself, Bob now shares the tools, insights and practices that empower others
to do the same. In addition to being an author and public speaker, he is also an expert facilitator, guide, mentor
and coach.
